Handplayed by Moniker Guitars

I was super lucky to work on this rad project with the dudes over at Moniker Guitars this year. We went to the opening this past weekend and saw all of the amazing works by each artist. They were really awesome and every one different in their own way. Big thanks to Kevin and Brett over at Moniker for putting this rad event together.

You can still bid on the guitars and raise money for Austin musicians by clicking over here: BID NOW!

Handplayed by Moniker Guitars

Check out this show coming up put together by Moniker Guitars. The artists were asked to do their thing on one of Moniker’s sweet custom guit-pickers. I took mine and beat it up a bit, cut my own headstock shape and added some one-shot paint on the back. This guitar will be for sale at the show coming up on December 7th at Up Collective.

That’s all folks

I’m not saying that I’m gonna stop anytime soon, but man, it gets harder every year. Keeping up with these young buck party monsters is tough business, but I’ve got lots of training, just lots of laziness, too.

Two days of enjoying the Texas weather and some SXSW action.

Started off the day in a backyard of buddies where there was a sighting of the new Bearded Lady brand. We drank a couple pre-game beers, then hopped on the bikes and off we went into the madness.

Checked out Kadavar from Germany. Rad 70’s metal literally transported to 2013.

Then, went and checked out Thurston Moore’s project Chelsea Light Moving.

Ended the day with the lovely sounds of Vegetable Kingdom at a house party.

Then, back to the bar to hang out with these dudes.

All in all, it was a bunch of fun and exciting to see our city overrun by the media and corporate sponsorships. I’m just ready to get back to sleepy town Austin and have some BBQ’s and hangouts.

Marriage Poster

Lucky to have such talented, creative friends who do things, too. Good friend, Nate Cross, plays in Marriage, asked me to design a poster for his show coming up with Starring and Guardian Angel.

Stoked to see the show.

I used an old textbook to find imagery that complimented each other and ended up printing these bad boys with Bearded Lady, a screenprinting shop in town. I’ll be working with them to make more artwork and posters like these in the future. Get in touch if you have poster requirements.
