A while back I had to opportunity to make some cool sculptures for the Fader Fort’s installation by TDK. They tasked me with taking some old boom boxes and doing something with them, so I ended up making these sculptures and installed them in their display with some painted designs to fit in with the other hand drawn elements.
SXSW is upon us
I’m a bit behind in all blog posts and I’m putting up this one to say that I won’t be posting for a bit in the next two weeks, but you can get a hold of me on Twitter (@mase_man) to see where I be during the fun times. Excited to be working with the Fader Fort, Style X and Dublab this year.
Combination
All this collaboration over at Crummy House has me on a new direction in my art. I love it. It’s like an automatic redirection of my art, exposing new methods and new techniques. Here are a couple new in process works. Large photocopies that I’ve adjusted, then printed, then painted on top.
Lately
Homes
Homes, holmes. Been spending a lot of time at them lately. But that is good, because I’m making stuff and saving dollars. Did I just say that? I must be getting old. Went to Boerne to visit my growing family and drive the VW which will be making an appearance in Austin coming soon. Happy Friday everyone.
Future Perfect
This is my entry for the Future Perfect competition that Amir at Beautiful/Decay is putting together for Toyota. I think if we are to change the world it will have to come from the top down and the leaders of our economy and governments will have to embrace ideals that will heal the world. Will this happen or not? I’m not so sure, but here are some things I think we could do.
