Like a flower or a star

I knew there would be good on the horizon. I’m setting up a show at 1080 this weekend with some super new, super fresh stuff I’ve been working on. Bearded Lady and I collaborated on some prints that will be shown in this exhibition and for sale after the show (assuming someone doesn’t buy all of em)!

I hope everyone is in the right spot and right place these days.

Captured

I’d go to this video premiere if I could. Looks like it’s gonna be a good film.

“Since 1979 Clayton Patterson has dedicated his life to documenting the final era of raw creativity and lawlessness in New York City’s Lower East Side, a neighborhood famed for art, music and revolutionary minds. Traversing the outside edge he’s recorded a dark and colorful society, from drag to hardcore, heroin, homelessness, political chaos and ultimately gentrification. His odyssey from voyeur to provocateur reveals that it can take losing everything you love to find your own significance.”

Here we go again

Seems like every corner you take, something new is on the horizon. Sometimes, it’s nothing new, sometimes it’s very new. This last month has been a wave of up and down and up and down. Now, another up, setting a show at 1080 for the rest of the summer.

Cell division

Thanks to everyone who came out to the opening on Friday. It was a bunch of fun for all and soon I’ll have some pictures of the setup. Here’s a new piece I’ve been working on this last week.

Utter and complete darkness

Jessica and I went to Longhorn Cavern to find ourselves some “utter and complete darkness” this Memorial Day. I got to tell all the stories of when I was a young spelunker down at Cascade Caverns. It was fun and worth the trip out there. Jumped into Inks Lake afterwards and trucked back into town in time for work.
